the loop

the endless loop of this life;

take it off just to put it back on,

clean it up just to birth a mess.

this paradox of life is as interesting as it is confusing,

that pull to the nothingness

and the drift into the rip tide.

around and around

again and again.

to sit back and marvel at life,

rather than to intellectualize and investigate.

we must release the desire to understand

and the invite the surrender to experience.

whilst we try so hard to observe,

we syphin our capacity to live.

like a grape that constantly wishes to be a raisin,

then pities himself for being so dull.

this endless loop, samsara, it’s been called.

this hunger for the opposite,

the longing for what it is we don’t have,

may be the very thing that keeps us going.

the continuation and the realization of life and death and death in life.
